Welcome to Yuzaki Lab

・Yuzaki Laboratory has been relocated to the Center for Human biology - Microbiota - Quantum Computational Research (Keio University)WPI-Bio2Q.。

In addition to the central nervous system、focusing on synaptic formation mechanisms in the peripheral, autonomic and enteric nervous system、we aim to clarify the linkage between the nervous system and multiple organs, and the pathology caused by its failure, and to develop new treatments.。

Keiko's paper is selected as the Featured Article in EJN

Keiko Matsuda's paper There are published in the European Journal of Neuroscience、In this issue Featured Article. It was chosen to。Sudhof Dr. told me to write a comment article。

It is a follow-up report of a strong synapse formation and maintenance molecule Cbln1 in the cerebellum, which we have already reported。Although last year's Science paper (2010), the postsynaptic receptors has reported that it is a GluD2、In this paper presynaptic side of the receptor Neurexin (Nrx)It is、In addition brain regions (hippocampus and cerebral cortex) other than the cerebellum any similar molecule (Cbln2 and GluD1)It reported that has a similar synapse formation action。Nrx is known as the gene responsible for autism、But as its receptor, such as Neuroligin and LRRTM it has been known、Nrx-Cbln1-GluD2 is、It is possible to control the synapse formation was found by an independent molecular mechanisms and these molecules。
